Goodyear Polyglas! Simply the pinnacle of hustle muscle rubber on the road. Detroit wrapped its arms around this one, with good reason. The polyester body plies wrapped with two circumferential belts of fiberglass controlled all the vigor your right foot and nerves could stand. As was often said “Smoke ’em if ya got ’em.” The vaunted Goodyear polyglas stood the test, and still does!

N/S and E/S tires may be used from 11/1/69 thru 12/31/69. This is the time period when the design running change took place. Both N/S and E/S tires have the words Goodyear and Polyglas elevated in small solid white lettering.

L60/15’s– As it was then. So it is now. These larger than life “smokers” still require YOUR attention to fitment clearances. We used a 10” rim. Sevens’ or eights’ are quite compatible for this tire as well.

USAGE:
N/S – Where required, thru 10/31/69. 11/01/69 thru 12/31/69 may be used with ES tires.
ES –11/01/69 thru 12/31/69 may be used with N/S tires.
1/1/70 forward only use ES tires.

All non-Corvette O.E. 775/15 applications were fitted with the Goodyear Power Cushion broad market tire. Although identical in design optics, this tire carried inflated dimensions resulting in a taller O.D. and narrower inflated section width and tread radius.

Contruction: 2 ply nylon tubeless. Nylon body plies then and now. Critical for class judging. Remember, nylon has a memory, which you will feel, and leaves the vehicle environment when the normal tire operating temperature is reached. Could take somewhat longer in December than July. Usually five or so continuous miles of driving are all that is needed.

Specifically designed and only fitted to the 1968 and 1969 Z28 Camaro. Goodyear answered the call from GM to develop the appropriate tire for this high performance platform. Talk about a Z-handler, this Goodyear Speedway Wide Tread GT did the job.

This pertained to the type of nylon fabric used in these tires and is so contained in the construction statement of the tires to be used for authentic ’68 and ’69 Corvette restoration.
